Meeting called to order at 1900.

Car Wash $130.  Bake sale   $266.70    Pancake/Yard sale   $35./ $233.

Deposit: $734.

General Fund: $676.

 

Vice-Pres.- does not have a child directly involved with band. According to the Band Booster Bylaws He is not eligible to hold office, but able to continue to be a member at large.  Elections for this office will be held Aug. 25.

 

New Business:

 

  • Fundraiser: This Saturday, Rummage Sale 730-1300 on the ByPass (Madison Homes) – items left from the yard sale.

 

Collecting for Raffle:

  • $5. Poor Man Supper Sept. 19 Sat. –working out the details with the Marshall Community Center serving 3-7

  • Discussion on selling burgers on the concession stand- Hensley will go to Dr. Wilcox/Mr. Tipton – further details as they are confirmed.
  • Hensley would like a discussion about adding choir, concert band, and jazz band to the boosters. Will send out notices to the students the first week of school. Further discussion will be at the Aug 25 Tues. 7:00pm meeting.  The bylaws will have to be changed to reflect these added groups.

Member’s at large- good idea – will discuss

 

  • K. Lillie would like to thank ALL for making a team effort in fund raising

Explained that Ted has started fund raising this summer, not for just color guard but for the whole.

 

  • Ken Lillie resigned as the President, due to his son will not be in band this year.
  • Sherry Deckrow (Tres.) is next in line- she finished the meeting.
  • Members agreed to have the Tres. Pay the band camp couches as discussed previously. Mr. Deeter $150. for 1 weeks work: Mr. A. Pless $350. for 2 weeks work
  • C. Huff mentioned a fundraiser: Gurneys Garden, keep 45% total sales, they mail the product directly to the customers. She will look into this further and give an update.
